Flamin’ Aphorisms
The further a society drifts from truth the more it will hate those who speak it.
- George Orwell
To the ill-considered hopes of the last two centuries, which have reduced us to insignificance and brought us to the brink of nuclear and non-nuclear death, we can propose only a determined quest for the warm hand of God, which we have so rashly and self-confidently spurned. - Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn
A horrible suspicion that has sometimes haunted me is that the Conservative and the Progressive are secretly in partnership. That the quarrel they keep up in public is a put-up job, and that the way they perpetually play into each other's hands is not an everlasting coincidence. - G.K. Chesterton
Refusing to define "life," "man," or "woman," doesn't begin overnight but is a persistent suppression of truth until the lie becomes your inverted truth. - Dustin Benge
Men who are in love with applause have their spirits starved not only when they are blamed offhand, but even when they fail to be constantly praised. - John Chrysostom

You Can Run To It
“On the Edge of Something” Jamie Cullum
Read It or Weep
Written in the 1940’s, but intensely prophetic for our day. Best read after reading the previous two books of the “Ransom Trilogy”, but unnecessary with just a bit of background reading. Lewis wrote “The Inner Ring” and the “The Abolition of Man” around the same time. Read it!
